♥ Fairy Doors ♥

So, this evening I managed to finish the two fairy doors that I started making at Karma Krafts yesterday. I'm really happy with the way they turned out, especially my original one with an open doorway looking into the fairy realm :)

I'd had an idea since yesterday with the first door that I didn't want a closed door like most have, but a look into the fairy world itself. I wanted to make it look like part of a tree trunk with a little opening looking into this other world, with a pathway leading up to a tree (all that inspiration came from the pretty charm I was determined to use! lol).

I think it turned out really nice in the end, and I surprised myself with how well I managed to paint something so small! Haha. I really enjoyed making this one :)

Materials: Card, tissue paper, acrylic paint, water colours, dried flowers, metal tree charm.

With the second door, all I knew was that I wanted to incorporate a cherry blossom tree's branches over the door. So, in the end I decided to go with pretty pastel colours, and had some nice dried pink petals to hand which I could use as the fallen sakura blossoms on the ground ^^

Materials: Card, tissue paper, water colours, dried flower petals, mini amethyst crystal.

I really enjoyed making these and I'm so happy with the results. Of course, I have the lovely girls at Karma Krafts to thank for the idea and the lesson in how to make them (plus the pretty tree charm and dried yellow flowers which complete the first door so well, thanks Caz!). I will definitely be making more of these in the future! :)

Blessed Be~
