It seems like our whole lives are now impacted with COVID, it's taken a while to make it hit home. But it just gets worse every day! Last week my best friend's dad's secretary passed away, caught COVID at church. Her daughter is 40 years old, a RN, caught COVID from a patient in August but because of the damage is now on a ventilator with pneumonia. Hospitals in Green Bay are doubling up beds and ventilators. Hospitals in Milwaukee are running out of pain meds, IV pumps, and sedation medication. Nurses/Healthcare workers are resigning every day, Dodge County had an article about it. Dane county just enforced new "rules" limiting outdoor groups to 10 people. Indoor gatherings of people not family are strictly prohibited and can face a fine of $1,000. A nurse I worked with in Milwaukee passed away from COVID over the weekend. Every department is affected at work. We have close to 30 people who are either out with COVID or Exposed to COVID.
