Surgery
Very tired and sore. I got a huge shot in my butt Sunday night after 9 hours in the ER.
I go in for surgery on Friday. They are removing all the hardware (plates, screws, etc.), removing as much of the infection as possible, then close me up after attaching an external steel brace to support my non-union fractures in both my radis and unlna bones.
I'll be on heavy antibiotics for six weeks through an IV, then they'll go in, attempt bone grafs and place stronger, thicker, wider plates and more screws in to permanently support the fractured bones, with hopes of the bones rejuvinating from the bone grafs.
Aside from my arm, everything is absolutely wonderful. Nerissa is the greatest and I love her with all my heart. We are such positive influences on each other and truly make each other happy.
Summary of an exhausting weekend: Wed I was at school all day (meetings). I hung out w/ Nerissa till about 11 that night. Thursday, after a doctor appt. with my ortho specialist, I visited Nerissa ... we went to Stonestown and Hillsdale to carouse several things --- she bought stuff at Torrid, we looked at rings (again, lol), went out to dinner at Elephant Bar in Millbrae (so pretty on the bay), then went out to the movies ans "saw" Fever Pitch. I got home about 1 a.m.

That link has the pix from both Friday and Saturday (all taken w/ a sh*tty Canon digital camera). Jeff and I set up our own little photo studio Friday afternoon, then started doing posed shots (studio is upstairs). We had to basically move a ton of things, arrange floodlights, set up the backdrop/paper, etc. We have a legit photo studio at the Garage now =) hehehe Then the show startted and ran very late. My body was beat. Running around the ring shooting for 3 hours ain't easy, but I love it. I need kneepads next time. Got home about 1 a.m.
Saturday I picked up Nerissa at 7, she came with me to the How-to-Fair that I worked 10-5. After it ended at 5, we picked up Jon and drove to King City for the big wrestling show. Very long weekend. Got home at 4 am Sunday, had to work the HTF Sunday at 10-8 (cleanup).
I LET NERISSA DRIVE MY CAR, MY BABY SILVER STREAK HOME FROM KING CITY!!!! I also, thanks to her, have finally started to drive slower and keep myself out of speeding tickets. I love her so much. Words won't do justice.
Nerissa came down to visit me at the HTF on Sunday, well, at about 1 p.m., my arm cracked and hecka swelled up suddenly. She drove me to ER in my car, her mom took her car, and my Mom met us there. I was in ER/urgent care until 12:30 a.m. Monday morning. Nerissa stayed until almost 11 when they kicked everyone out. She wouldn't leave my side.
They gave me a HUGE antibiotic shot in my butt, took x-rays and did bloodwork. I have high protein/white blood cells (infection) and low iron (anemia). After seeing the ortho surgeon, he made a quick splint/soft cast, had the nurse remove the IV and scheduled me to see my ortho specialist Monday at 9 a.m. He's one of best surgeons in the country and really checked things out. He wanted consults from plastics and vascular (concerned about where to make incisions and possibly damaging prior repairs). Well, I got copies of my entire surgical records, whew! So surgery will be Friday a.m.
Yesterday I slept all day. Pretty much the same today. I'm having very major surgery on Friday and might be in the hospital for several weeks, but hopefully, if all goes well, I'll be released Friday night to come home, though I'll be on bedrest for a few weeks or so before i can do anything.
Just been really busy, but having fun and enjoying my time with Nerissa. My butt is very sore. My body is exhausted. I wish Nerissa was with me, but all is fine. I'll see her Thursday =)
