Ugh...I feel queasy
So, I joined a sorority my first year of college, pretty much just for that whole "new experiences" thing. I don't regret joining and meeting the people I did, but there are only a few girls from it that I would consider my "friends". That isn't to say the others are unkind, I just didn't get to know them. I went alumni a year ago and no longer go to Mankato, but they are all my friends on Facebook.
That being said.
My Facebook page really irritates me sometimes.
They just had Recruitment this week, so for the past three days I have had to endure posts that more or less say "ZOMG GIRLS CONGRATULATIONS ON THE NEW 12 FANTASTIC RECRUITS! AXO IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO LULZ" on my News Feed ten-ish times a day. And that's just the statuses. I haven't posted to these girls' walls in MONTHS and I still get notifications of their conversations with one another, which also boil down to some estimation of "SO WHEN AM I GOING TO GET TO SEE MY BEAUTIFUL BESTIE AGAIN?!11! GURLZ NITE OUT LOL NEWAY LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVEYOU!1!11O8WUTIJAWL"
My blood pressure instantly goes up when I see those. I would delete them from my friends list, but a couple of them I really like and want to keep in touch with, so there's really no point in doing so as this will continue as long as one of them is on my f-list.
Anywho, I really needed to comment on the matter since I can't on Facebook. Some days I just want to make my status "MEG KNOWS ALL Y'ALL AXO GURLZ LOVELOVELOVE EACH OTHER BUT SERIOUSLY STFU. SHE HIGHLY DOUBT YOU'LL KEEP IN CONTACT AFTER COLLEGE AND THE ZOMBIE-LIKE METHOD IN WHICH YOU ALL GO ABOUT YOUR SUPERFICIAL INSTA-FRIENDSHIPS REALLY PISS HER OFF AND MAKE HER SLIGHTLY QUEASY IN ITS OVERT SUGARINESS."
