the day seems tolerable

only 8 hours to go and I'm officially on vacation until Wednesday morning. Isn't it wonderful to have vacation time. Nothing better than getting paid to be a debaucherous lech. War is this weekend and I am looking forward to the above mentioned lechorousness. :) We'll be taking Hank with us on Friday and then my pops is going to take him for Sat, Sun and Mon. We're planning on taking him camping for a whole week in October, at the end all, be all War GreatWestern. If you like that kinda stuff like we do, check out http://www.greatwesternwar.org/ I don't know how to do all that fancy crap, so you'll probably have to cut and paste. Anyway, I constructed a sword and a Viking broad axe to take with. Not to get too far into the details, War is just what it is and they have Light and Heavy fighters. I fight with the lights, well not really. As soon as I got interested in it, it went dead. Luckily they developed a new form that was more period. The rules aren't set yet, and this weekend we will see the first demo of the new form. Well, they asked us to bring in weapons that we made for kind of a "show and tell". I'm very excited. I'm not very pleased with my sword, and I wasn't going to bring it, but I figured I could talk construction techniques and maybe my sword could give someone ideas. At the very least, it could be an example of what not to do. My axe I am very proud of. 'nuff said. I made it cause the mediator of the Light fighter group tried to tell me that the axe was a poor mans weapon and wasn't a weapon fitting of a Viking. Most cases, he's very intelligent. On this issue he was the classic embodiment of ignorance. Ignorance in the text book definition: lack of information. I set him straight ;>
