White Picket Fences and Apple Trees, Winter Chapter One

Nov 11, 2006 19:41

So, here begins part two, or Winter, as I've taken to calling it. And uh, guess what I realized today? I'm not really sure you can actually grow apple trees in Wyoming. I was really kind of crushed when I realized that. And then I thought...well, I don't care. It's fiction, and while I'm all for keeping up with reality and such, I've come this ( Read more... )

Finally, a "Winter" I can enjoy! mississaugared November 13 2006, 12:37:33 UTC
Totally on board for the next season! Hope it's not going to get too much rougher for them (but it probably will ... sigh.) Bobby's truck egged, workers quitting, already had clients canceling orders. But you gave us something positive to hold on to this chapter also. What a relief!

This little glimmer of hope from Joel's admission that he already had the boys figured out, was he'd learned to be okay with it, was much needed, I think. I was afraid for a while there that the entire town (excluding Kurt's family of course) was going to be too narrow-minded to make it possible for the boys to stay there with their family. At least now Jack and Ennis have evidence that not everyone is going to throw them to the wolves. Thank you for that, I think they really needed a little proof that holding on and riding this out wasn't a fool thing to try to do. Way to go, Joel, for not just staying but telling the guys you'd been there all that time knowing what their real relationship was. Yea!

What up with Troy?? I'd be suspicious if I were Junior. If she does decide to meet up with him again, I hope she takes either Bobby or Kurt along, so they watch out for her, don't trust that Troy as far as Grettie could throw him. grumble, grumble.

Oh, and LOVED Bobby's self-analysis! What a great kid. Jack and Ennis have done a great job raising him. And he knows it. He loves his family just the way it is. Love that Bobby, sure do.

So proud of Mary Ellen for making these small steps to getting better. Looking forward to seeing more of the whole family, they've become so real and important to us, can't imagine this story without them anymore.

Glad the chapters will keep coming. Brightens my day every time I see an update! Thank you for giving us this.

Hugs,
E.

One thing I've learned--no matter how many people you think are against you, not every single person in a town thinks alike. So that's good for our boys!

Bahaha. Insert funny mental images here. And I love Bobby too. ;) I want to marry him. Thanks a bunch hon!
