Lj gathering virtual dust...
Haven't updated for ages, omg!
I finished my second German essay two weeks ago, woo! Not sure what I'll get for it as it was bloody hard to write... I'm hoping a first but it won't be as high a mark as the other one I did in February *crosses fingers for a miracle*
Started preparing for my summer job again last week. Met the team from last year and all the new members - there are 18 of us in total, double compared to last year! On tuesday I went on an 8 hour bus journey to meet and pick up the American Camp Adventure people. We've got three girls again: Sarah, Justine and Joanna, who are awesome! On wednesday we oldies (Toffer, Dan , Louise and I) showed them around Osnabrück and on thursday they met the rest of the staff and we made a helluva lot of posters for the youth centre in which we're working. The place looks amazing. Each week will have a theme, the first.... Harry Potter. The kids have been divided into groups according to age and we've put them into houses. James and I are Ravenclaw, woo! I'm chuffed with that (although not quite so thrilled that one of the kids is a pain-in-the-arse one from last year, argh)!
Today we all came in to do some last preparations for the official start tomorrow. The girls taught us some songs, some of which I remember from last year, yay. We also decided that we wouldn't use our names as there are two Andys, two Sarahs and two Jos... it will be quite confusing for the kids. So we're all using names of sweets or chocolate bars. Meli, you'll be happy to know that for the next six weeks I shall be called Milky Way. We've also got Dib-Dab, Twix, Bubbaloo and Flump amongst others, lol.
I've just finished reading HP7 and I feel a little strange. I'm happy with the ending and most of the book I really liked. Some parts were a bit iffy in my mind and some were damn hilarious when they shouldn't have been lol. I did cry in parts, it's true. And OMG there was swearing! Shocking! lol. Shan't say any more about it and let you all read it for yourselves.
Really must get to bed and get energy for work tomorrow. I'm gonna need it! But yay, Sausalitos Mondays have been revived and they start tomorrow, oh yes!
