Highlights of my day so far include:
-finally making the time to add proper art work to every song/album/track in my itunes;
-catching up with Heather via AIM;
-hearing from Heather that she's coming back to Grad Wind Ensemble as our oboist (yay!);
-my cell phone not ringing once;
-finding a favorite CD of mine that I thought totally got lost in the big move: Frankreichs Hofkomponisten/Composers from The French Royal Court, that was put out in '92 by the Vienna Master Series. It was the first CD I ever bought, it cost me $1.99 at a discount store, and I used to listen to it all the time...while I wrote papers, my Westinghouse project, while I read by candlelight...(I did alot of that back in HS, and I think that I should start doing it again--very calming and serene)--that was, until I thought I lost it. Swear to Sabbath I thought it was gone forever; I looked for it everywhere in my house...I even went so far as to scour the internet, ebay, etc, in the hopes of finding a copy and being able to purchase it for an extraordinarily ridiculous amount of money (btw, no such luck--the had every other CD in the damn series EXCEPT the one I was looking for), but I found it today.
And where did I find it?
In a random gift bag that I had in one of the closets.
And what, you might ask, made me mention the bag?
Well, because, inside, with that CD, and along with some random items (all were random "Core-4" related items, how funny is that), was a card from Max that he gave me right before going back to the UK when Ania's mother was sick. At the most basic level, it was a thank you card for being there for him, etc etc, but he had written a lot of very sweet things in there that made me get all teary-eyed.
I want to think that this is a good omen...I hope.
