We're here, dearie, and we're trying, but there's only so much we can do. The tower needs to be sealed, and that's at least a day or two's travel from here, and we'd need a much larger group to get there than the one we have now, if any of us want to make it there and back alive!

But unfortunately, dearie, they've just been everywhere, getting stronger. Many of the people who were fighting them are too worn out, or injured and out of commission, or worse. And while we can hurt the damned things, we need protection at the same time; it's like they're five year olds and we're candies. No chance. If you could help out, though, dearie, it's more than welcome.

It's just a pity that we can't fire the big gun off in the city.
