Sepia
Sienna
Happened in the wee hours of the morning after
this. "So..." Sepia blinked at the figure huddled in the corner of her bed--she had been staring at ever since it had arrived, hours ago. "Why are you here?"
True to the other times she'd questioned, it didn't respond.
The swordswoman let out a disappointed sigh and flopped down onto the sheets, nudging the figure's leg with her foot. "It's not fair to barge into my room when it's still dark outside and not tell me why, you know!" she whined, though she could guess why. "I like sleep!"
"Then sleep."
"But that's~ No~ Fun!" A pause, then her voice lost its tease. "What happened, Sienna and Sei."
There was another pause before Sienna replied, voice hollow. "There is no 'and.' "
To that, Sepia rose a brow. "Oh?" When it was obvious the other wouldn't respond, she just sighed again, though she could hardly deny the surge of joy that went through her. Sei couldn't have Sienna, but had kept her close. Now they weren't together, platonic or otherwise. She didn't even really care how it happened--it did, and that was very satisfactory to hear.
Did he really win? Did she even care about that game anymore?
Hmm, no... This was different.
"Sepia..." Her voice sounded like it would be swallowed by the silence--So vulnerable, the long-haired girl thought with a small smile.
"Mm~?"
"You've been alone all this time..."
"... Mm~?"
If it were possible to curl into oneself more tightly, Sienna did that. "How about I... I'll be your sister."
Sepia paused, mildly shocked. "My...sister."
"No good?"
But there was a truly, honestly, wonderful smile that was spreading across her face as she lept and all but flung herself at the younger girl, embracing her tightly. "You're my sister!" she laughed, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Oh, she had waited so long...
Sienna stared at her in shock, then uncurled enough to put her arm around her. "Y-Yeah. You're my sister...too," she replied weakly, doing her best to ignore the hollow feeling in her chest. She could make someone happy... Out of this mess she'd caused, she could make someone better. She could...
