AHAHAHA hardest fanmix of my life! Who knew Simon/Alisha had the potential to be so unforgiving. I came close to giving up on this several times, but then Simon and Alisha would pull at something inside of me again (just thinking about their relationship, loose ends tied in a knot) and I would be back to square one. I have to thank Britta, Sisi, Kendra and Britt for EVEN REPLYING TO ME ON AIM HOLY SHIT I was like a woman possessed once the mix started coming together, and they were all terrifically helpful in their own ways. UM.
SO I think of this mix as opening and closing. The songs here are supposed to be represent the forwards/backwards moving of time in their relationship i.e. The One is supposed to take place after Future Simon's death; A Forest before Future Simon and Alisha meet and so on. Baby is supposed to take place before The One, while Future Simon and Alisha are in a relationship, after Alisha has fallen in love with Simon. This way everything (hopefully) will come full circle! Each song is supposed to represent a specific moment in time in their relationship but chronologically they are out of order, just like their relationship. Important to know since that's the reason behind the tone and tracklisting of this mix!
