I've been having a lot of fun with Tumblr lately, and the content there may please fans of my previous, less formal blogging:

Hello, I was forwarded this link to some photos of Leningrad, with older photos from the siege (Sept 1941 - Jan 1944) blended in. I thought it was pretty neat, I thought you might like to see too.

I saw that linked from Boingboing a couple of days ago. So stunning! I wish I had the time to do more work with Prince's Principle.

It's a silly little Telegraph story that I found while checking out how to cook hedgehogs.

Which begs the question, why were you researching how to cook hedgehogs? :P

Because I read in wikipedia that they used to be cooked in clay.

Yes they did! Bake 'em in clay and the spines come right off, or so I'm told. I think you'll find instructions in Prehistoric Cooking by Jacqui Wood. When I was a lad, they made hedgehog flavoured crisps in Britain. I don't think they ever really contained hedgehog meat though.

Thanks for the link... I'm working on an idea not too far removed from this hedgehog cookery shenanigans. I'm not going to cook any hedgehogs though.

Prince's Principle? How pleasingly alliterative! I had to look that one up I'm afraid, but the original work by Mr Prince was quite a cool idea.
