Donna smiles. "It's all right." Tell me something I don't know about the fickleness Titans and Gods... She scales back the thought though as she thinks of the lost look on Persephone's face. Troia keeps her voice as non-committal as possible. "What is it you wish to know?"
The gray skin of the creature flushes slightly and there is a grin. "We sense you have made an oath of the heart to a mortal man. Is this he?"
She can't hide the pain on her face, but she brushes it aside after a moment. "No. No, the one I promised myself to is not a hero. Just a man," A wonderful, intelligent man who's dead because of a curse on me, "That one no longer wants me. He’s dead, but he is not here." And he died hating me because I could never live a normal life...And he has my children... The thoughts hit harder then any villain ever could.
The Erinye tilts her head. "Not here, and not the one who challenges?" The lady creature keeps walking and Donna follows. The speculation continues. "Interesting. He has presented himself like he was."

"Promise me--" Roy stops, thinking on it for a minute, and then takes a deep breath. "Promise me you won't go away, okay? Just promise that. Even if you hate me just pretend that you don't."
Promises to one such as Donna are much larger then they both know. Diana hasn't walked into this world yet. The Titans of Myth haven't taken her and shown her the destiny they have planned. When Gods make promises, even ones they can keep, it's never turned out very well. Even as just a teen with powers that she thinks are just a random mutation, she's always felt very hesitant to give her word, even when she just did a moment ago.
It's Roy asking. This outweighs her reluctance. She breathes in and closes her eyes.
"Look at me." She waits for him. When she speaks, it's like her voice has something else behind it. "I swear upon the Styx that I will never look upon you with hate. Nor will I leave your side if you feel in your heart I belong there."
Some days it's not writing. It's taking dictation.
