today was pretty awesome. woke up at 6:30 to get on the 7:30 bus to NYC for my cross country meet. the ride there was realllllly slow because of traffic. me and mostly b ward were yelling stuff at other drivers, b ward is so funny. We got there and nick jumps out of the freakin bus and 3 minutes later runs an amazing time and comes in 2nd place. daly an b ward did awesome also. we have an amazing freshman team. they took second. then we had lots of JV races where everyone did well. then my race rolled around pretty quickly. I saw brian doherty and j lundy from camp. it was amazing to see them because they are my heros. brian advertised for www.tubgirl.com to all of my friends. nothing has changed. he was in my race but I smoked him. too bad he'd destroy me in an 800, haha. before I knew it I was in the race even though it was at 1:15. everyone started out by freakin sprinting their brains out. by the time we were into the woods I was in 5th maybe like 10 - 15 feet behind the 4 kids in the lead pack. they were going so fast and I was running to stay that close behind them the whole time. about 1/2 way through the race those 4 got away from me and I was just comepletely burnt out. the kid right behind me passed me and then I just seemed to be running by myself for awhile on shot legs. then 2 kids, one of them was extremely ugly... ran up behind me and I ran with them the rest of the race untill the straightway where they out-kicked me because I was a baby and too tired to sprint. I finished 8th in 13:15. which is a good time for me about. I think I coulda done better if I went out a little slower but its all good. I was happy but then.....disaster struck. I heard Dom like fainted and kept falling down because he was so tired. hes got such guts for finishing the race. he still came in 65th place. He fell down freakin 3 times and got up and kept running. thats guts right there. then the rest of our varsity did awesome despite how many people we were missing.....I didnt get their times but o well. then the ride home I played cards with all the 9th graders which was really fun. especially with b ward getting freakin launched in the air by the huge bump. then I got home because matt drove me home. I was home alone waiting for my family cause they were at the bronx zoo haha. they went there after they watched my race. nicole called and unfortunately.......her team lost both games in their tournament in virginia. at least she gets to come home early now haha. okay Im really tired peace out.
