victory!!
Today I woke up at 6:45 to get ready all ready for the jim smith invitational at sunken meadow. eric picked me up around 7:25 an we went to the HS an waited for the bus. while I was waiting there I saw none other than nicole mascia with her varsity soccer buddies going to their game thing somewhere else. anyway, we went to the race and first was the freshman race. smithtown girls freshman team, came in first! rachael and some other girls did real well and they won their race as a team. Then the boys freshman team did amazing. giovanni came in second an nick came in third in their race so they won the team title also. Then I didnt see the sophomore girls race because I was warming up for my own. but kate cervo came in 6th! thats pretty awesome. Then my race came along, I did some jogging and stuff, got into my new racers and was all ready to go. I thought I was gonna get sick from nerves though. my legs felt great anyway... Then my race started at 10:30 and a few kids sprinted out in the beginning, I got kinda scared cause I thought they were gonna go that fast the entire race. So I stuck in third untill like 3/4 of a mile into the race and then I kinda took off from them as they started to get tired. Running away from the field it was pretty much a really fun race to run cause I didnt have to murder myself to win but I felt freakin awesome. cardiac hill was like a really steep sandpit, it made my legs burn real bad lol. But anyway I finished up in 17:54, my new best time for the 5k. only by 1 second but still its a nice way to start the season off. the sachem kid in second finishedin like 18:24 or something? but dan frost!!! hes amazing! 8th place. he got 19:25 his best time by like more than a minute, matt berntson did good and so did eric tumbiolo and joe santosus. sophmores won the team title also. Then I watched jess dominate, she won by a freakin minute and 6 seconds. jeanne and courtney mac ran really good too, they came in 16 and 17 I think? that made it so the 11th grade girls came in 2nd place. nick lemp finally ran a smart race and did really good. but the best race of the day was the senior race. alex ran his best time EVERRRRR by so much for the 5k in 18:56. just so you know thats a really good time. russ did awesome too he got 19:03. the only problem was that he got disqualified for wearing a livestrong bracelet during the race, haha. and kazuto, mikeshea and santosus did good also.
anyway cheeseman beat up some freshman kids and he got in trouble with 2 other kids. then i came home and went to church yahoo, then ate pizza, then had no lifeeeee then I watched the best movie ever....spider man. and now I need to go to bed cause I am really tired cause I didnt sleep very much last night. okay adios
