Yesterday Was Great.

Woke up about 10:00 am and scurried to get washed dressed and ready. Wore one of my favorite outfits, my tight low riders from high school that somehow lift everything into their appropriate areas lol and my brown long sleeveless top that has a maiden waist (cinches right under the breasts) comes to my mid thigh and shows an attractive amount of cleavage. Probably the most I've been dressed up in a awhile. But I had a reason.

I got married yesterday! ^.^

Jonathan and I arrived at the courthouse where Linds, Rob, my mom and dad, and my brother were all waiting. We got inside, they got the names of our witnesses, Rob and Lindsey, and then they hurried them off to the larger courtroom. We sat in these ridiculously large red leather chairs that were studded all over with golden furniture studs. It looks like something out of masterpiece theater. We also had this mini santa statue hanging out between us which I found kinda funny. Then our judge, who looks like a cross between Pheonix Wright and our old assistant Principal Mr. Lowe from the high school, took us back to the courtroom. We said our vows ^.^ and everyone took pictures and video. Then we went back to my parents where they had a red velvet cake waiting with a comical figurine of husband and wife on top:

We spent most of the day hanging out with Mom and Dad and the kids and then Rob. After that we went home, crawled in bed exhausted and somehow managed to end up doing things other than sleeping. Thank God Jonathan's dad wasn't home to hear that >.<

Mom had made a reference on the phone with me that had me rolling. The day before the wedding she called about planning the party afterwards. Well, she wanted to have the party later. When I asked her why later she said Jonathan and I might want to go have some time alone together to "get used to being married". I paused, trying to figure out what she meant by that then said "MOM! Are you trying to say we should go consummate the marriage?!" to which she replied, "NO! I meant like go off to eat or something, you know, get used to one another." I laughed and told her that A) We were SUPPOSED to be eating at her house if I recalled. B) We've been together almost five years I think we're used to one another. and C) We wanted to celebrate with other people not just one another. She was flustered but went on about planning the party like nothing had happened lol.

All presents for family are wrapped except Sean's DVD and sketch pad. I think they'll like their gifts. Now I just have to focus on what to get my friends for Christmas.

All in all I have to say Marriage is exactly like how we were living before. It's just that we have a legal paper that gives us the benefits of marriage.
Yesterday meant a lot to me. But the second ceremony, our big snafu wedding we're saving up for is going to mean a lot more because we're going to get to celebrate our marriage the way we want to.
