Well, my surgery went well. I had local anesthesia, so I was awake the whole time. That was quite an experience. I was shaking so hard from shock that it was lucky that I was strapped to the table, or I may have fallen off. I was numb through most of it, but around the middle when they were cauterizing the wound I could feel it and it felt like being electrocuted. The weirdest part, though, was feeling the initial incision. It didn't hurt, but I could hear and feel my skin splitting open. And the stitches were weird too. Feeling my skin get pulled like that. And when it actually came out of my body, all this pressure that I had been unwittingly carrying for months was suddenly relieved. That was great. I was smiley the whole time. Really in a great mood for being cut open. I was even thinking about how much I love my life and how great I feel. I'm a bit of an odd duck, I know. XD
But now I'm going to take my hydrocodone and sleep. The incision is already starting to ache liek whoa, and the damn surgery center made me get up at 5 am.
