It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood...

What a pretty, pretty day. It's 75 and sunny and I sit here in shorts and a t-shirt. I even made lemonade. :) DEFINITELY not your typical January weather, even for Louisiana, but certainly welcome. It feels like spring. I slept late this morning for the first time in YEARS (both kids were with family last night, for the first time ever), drove to Zachary to pick up the kids, ate lunch with my parents, came home, threw in some laundry, and washed windows - inside and out. Whew. Now I'm home alone, the kids are napping, the house is picked up and I can read or nap or watch tv or whatever. I'm sorely tempted to throw on a bathing suit and see if I can catch a little sun. Gotta get while the getting's good - it's going to be in the 50's again by midweek.

I love days like today. I feel lazy AND productive, all at the same time. :)
