The long hike
The 4 day weekend was all *lamed*. I was feeling disappointed for having done nothing. The day started out at a real low point. The hiking shoes that I brought tore as I tried the knot !! I will be returning it .. WTF .. I am pretty pissed .. The shoe was "Alpine Design" .. model was "Grand" .. couldn't find anything about it online .. WTF (again) ..
I had signed up for Berry Creek falls hike. This one was though the go play. The group was good, met some new set of people. Rain was expected but we didnt care for it and started off anyway, since we had driven for atleast an hour to get to the trail head. The hike started off pretty well, we were doing a healthy pace of 2-3 miles/hour. The falls is seen at the half way mark of the hike and the view was worth it
Big Basin Redwoods State Park and Berry Creek Falls
After the falls, it started drizzling and gradually it "rained". We literally ran so that we could reach for cover early. 4 hours later, we were done. I had my leg completely fscked up after this fast paced strenous hike. The next few days, I will be walking like a DUCK !! damn !!
