Why does there ALWAYS have to be --

a Christian version of everything? Christian versions of secular bands, Christian versions of movies, Christian versions of MYSPACE. I love singing praise songs... this isnt about that. I'm fine with there even being Christian music as its own genre, but why do Christians need to do everything the rest of world does while just tagging a Jesus name brand on it? 'High on Jesus?' Why do people feel the need to make that reference? WHY?

A: this just seems to me like a way to make an extra buck
B: isn't this just making reaching people for Christ even HARDER by giving Christians a safe little corner to hide in and pretend the rest of the world doesn't exist? If so, this is counter-productive to our very existance on this earth(Matthew 28:19).
C: shouldnt people be seeing Christ reflected off of action and example? A faith that needs Christian bookstore accessories to prove its existance is in pretty sad shape. I think if youre a Christian, Christ should be reflected by everything you do, there shouldnt be exceptions or seperate times where we pull off our Christian parody charades. Whats next, Christian Major League Baseball?

(yourthoughts?)

Oh and I played my first acoustic show with Dearsweet material at a coffee shop birthday party. It went pretty good all things considered.
