A Novel Idea

So I wanted to bring this to my friend's list; my muse has been feeding off an idea I've had lately and I wanted to run it by you folks.  It's for Criminal Minds, but it would be a loooooooooooooooooooong story.

Here's what I got: Dave and Emily are happily married with their adopted son Mark (from The Family Rossi).  They have been living together for a few years.  Then the team encounters a case where young children are being kidnapped and sold on the black market to parents wanting to adopt.  The unsub targets Emily and kidnaps Mark.  By the time they catch up to the unsub, it is too late; Mark is already gone and they cannot trace him.  Dave and Emily search relentlessly for their son.  Emily blames herself and Dave is trying desperately to hold on to the marriage for both of them.  However, they have had no such luck in finding him.

In the meantime, Mark is shuffled around to several different places in an effort to keep his identity a secret.  He has turned mute because he knows he is in an unfamiliar environment.  Because of that, he is sometimes abused.  Eventually a couple adopts him and they return to their home in Las Vegas.

Now Grissom has returned to Vegas to help the lab interview for new CSIs as he and Sara have accepted teaching positions at Northwestern University.  But the CSIs end up  investigating the couple in an unrelated incident and end up stumbling upon the other end of the black market adoption.  Sara immediately recognizes Mark (her and Emily were friends in college and was introduced to her family) and rushes a DNA test.  DNA confirms Mark's identity and Sara shows Mark a picture of his parents.  He utters his first words in eight months (That's my Mommy and Daddy).  Sara calls Emily and Dave to tell them the good news and the Rossis are reunited with their son.

What do you think?  Yay or neigh? If yay, would anyone be interested in writing this with me.  I would sure love a partner for such a large undertaking.  Let me know!  Peace all!
