If I keep going at this rate, I will be done by the deadline. And then some. This is good because I opted not to use a moving service or even rent a van. And so far I've been doing it myself. So if I do get the help I expect this weekend, I'll be done way sooner

I need to do some market research and gathering. Your walls might have to blah their bland at you for another couple of weeks at least. :)

Me too, actually. I don't like to just put anything up but sometimes I do hang my own paintings and art just to get it off the ground and out of my way.

I have had an idea for a long time that I only adorn my walls with art or images of people that I care about or call a friend.
You certainly fall within those parameters.
I included the 'images' part because there are numerous people who mean a lot to me who do some sort of modeling and I thought it would be interesting to have my favorite shot of each of them on a part of one of my walls and do the same for art or photographers as well.

That would be a rad idea... a gallery of meaningful imagery is much better than random crap chosen without thought

In years past, if I wanted to include everyone I would have needed an entire room. lol

That sounds like a really excellent idea. That would really make a new place a home IMO.

Yeah. But I probably won't do it this time... the general unspoken consensus indicates this is not the best time for a party.

I think anytime is a good time to get good friends together and just hang out etc.
I spent half of saturday removing and installing a new toilet and, because of the people I was with, it was one of the best saturday nights I have had in a while.

Heh. Yeah, it's all about finding good people to hang with ya while you maintain life ... and hanging with your good people while they do theirs.

It reminds me of how it would be back when I lived in OK with people I had know for 5 years or more; it didn't really matter as much where we went because we usually had more fun trying to decide.
I was actually surprised at how quickly I became as close as I am to some people here.

I have had one close-quickly friendship here. For a while it was one of the stronger friendships I ever developed... but not so much anymore.

Most of the people I spent a lot of time with are people I have known since before I lived in California.... so, many many years. :)

There are a few people who have become some of my absolute favorite that I had a virtually instant rapport with.
I call them my trifecta. ;)
Oddly enough, most of the people I have known for years who live out here are either busy traveling all over for their work, have moved away because they got tired of the city, or are plain too busy.

I have close friends but nothing I'd call a Trifecta... The Axis of Asses would probably work.

It is odd that two of my closest friends are from another coast and (practically) another life. I tended to drastically relocate every 3-5 years before I got stuck in the tar pits here.

I'd like to introduce you but I am sure you know one of them already...Elisa.
They aren't perfectly nice people, I couldn't be around such people because I would think they were always plotting something and being so nice as a cover lol
We just have enough in common and think along the same lines to a point that I have to explain very little to nothing to them and I'm sure you can imagine if you haven't ever had it how great that can be.
I constantly have to take different time zones into account when I want to call or text someone.

I do know of Elisa and have had enough chats with her to have an idea of what you mean regarding her personality but I consider her to be nice... in a wicked, impish kinda way but harmless all the same and therefor not mean. not mean = nice in my book. :)
