A Time, Another Day
Today was my first day back at work after the ill that was last week--I was in only on Thursday. I had the flu of the last few years at least. It took me two days and a dose of antibiotics before I got better.
It's age. It's the getting older bit. Even a simple thing like getting ease of breath is taking twice as long to get to, and even then, you'll have your moments. The hitch at your sides, the deep sinkfuls that wouldn't fill. I'm not enjoying this lagging health bit of getting older and wiser.
Still, I am better than before. Not 100% but good enough. It did took me a lot of extra effort to walk to work today. It's a mix of lethargy, work and just plain Monday.
