Well, I guess tax day is officially tomorrow, and rather than fill this post with a hate filled rant around this time of year like I usually do, perhaps it may be better to provide something a little more thought provoking.
The following question is pointed towards my more liberal minded friends, though if you aren't then don't let it stop you from posting any comments/thoughts. Let's suppose a deal the following deal is proposed to you: Federal income taxes are abolished. Not all social services go away, but basically ones that are dependent on federal money support are pretty much gone. In return, all the United States military involvement in every conflict since World War II never happens. No involvement in Vietnam, Korean, Afghanistan, Serbia, Somalia, Iraq (both times), Iran. I'm certain there's places I'm missing here but you get the idea. 9/11 does not happen either. These things don't end up happening because without the federal income tax, the government would not have been able to afford any of these military escapades. Do you take the deal? If not, then why not?
