Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

I discovered CrunchyRoll last week. Go to them for all your not-yet-released-in-the-US anime needs. A fairly large selection, and you can upload any fansubs you happened to come across yourself as well. Even has a translated manga section (though I hate having to read from right to left).

I just finished up watching Akagi, and was pretty amazed how interesting the series ended up being. Despite the fact that pretty much 90% of the series was just watching people play Mahjong while some narrator described what was going on for all the mahjong noobs. Of course there's some story elements involving the Yakuza and there's some discussion about the art of gambling itself, but they seem to be kind of secondary to the whole series. Oddly enough after watching it I have an interest in learning how to play. And no, i'm not an impressionable person. Not in the least.

This is in the realm of very old news, but I've started thinking about the World of Warcraft commercials that have been making the rounds on TV, and I just got to thinking. Now, they're all farily well done, but exactly what the fuck does, "What's your game?" mean? It doesn't even sound like a complete sentence? Can anyone explain this? It just seems like a really, really, horrible tagline. Not that it matters, the game practically sells itself now, but geez, who the fuck thought up that slogan and why?
