So, you have to send them both in, but the important one is the NCLEX registration form. It's the common belief that once you send in that one, it still takes three weeks to get a testing date, provided your transcripts made it to the State from UM.
I just found out today that although our transcripts were supposed to be released on January 9, mine have not been because I never finished the exit interview for the Nursing Loans I got. The Nursing Loan exit interview is not the same one for Direct Loans, if you have those. Bah. To see if you have any holds, check Wolverine Access, and then if you do, call the Office of Financial Aid. Kristin P and I are in the same boat, so we have to finish that before they'll even give us a date, regardless of when we sent in our NCLEX registration form.
The license application needs to be sent in to get the license released to you after you pass the exam, but if you're like me and can only dish out so much cash at once, I'd say send in the NCLEX app first, then the license app, since it'll take three weeks to get your date anyway. I wouldn't wait to send in the license app much longer than two weeks after the NCLEX app, since you don't want to have your license held up by paperwork. :P
If you have any more questions, email me. I think I have the emails from the OFA that link the exit interviews directly, if you need them.
ahhhh this whole thing is SO stressful.... i've starting DREAMING about the NCLEX.
i had a nightmare that i failed by 2 questions. :O
so you don't have your date yet? i think i'm gonna try to take it in ann arbor. maybe i'll feel a little more comfortable going to a familiar place. :)
anyway, thanks again & good luck with the studying. we'll have to hit up the bar when we're all done with the NCLEX!!!!
