sooo...

The job situation isn't any better. I heard back from a home improvement company in Seaford. They interviewed me yesterday after I got off work. The place was not too impressive. Shirtless guys were hanging around outside, chain smoking. When I walked inside, there was another gang of guys chain smoking. Ew. I told one of them I was there to see someone for an interview, and he coughed up an "Oh yeah, that's me." We went back to a poorly lit office (that still smelled like cigarettes), and he went down a list of what looked to be questions that his wife wrote down to ask me. He wasn't very articulate, but he tried his damnedest to sell the place. He even took my picture afterwards to clip to my resume cuz he couldn't remember names. The one major question I asked while I was there was "Do you offer benefits?"... and after you cut through his bullshit the bottomline answer was "no." I left the place disappointed. Very. The interview went extremely well, and I advertised myself my best... but it was just a shitty place. Soooo, I'm hoping to hear something from a Student Records Technician position I applied to at Del Tech. I think that job would be pretty sweet with awesome benefits.

Aside from that... we put Dave's truck in the Guide this week. Advertised it for $22,000. He owes $27,000. We'd be excited to get $20,000. Our plan is to sell the truck, and he's getting a Jeep Wrangler for $1,000. This Jeep is an '89 so it's a little on the old side, but it's well taken care of. Lots of stuff on it is new, there's no rust, and that's the cheapest we'll find a Wrangler in that condition. Then we'll just have $5,000 - $7,000 to pay off for the remainder of the truck loan. Not too shabby. Dave's truck payment is now $455 each month... our biggest monthly payment. So we'd be much more comfortable if we can knock that out.

I've also been on a remodeling kick. Dave looks at our trailer and is like "Eh, I'm content"... but I look at it and see the potential. I'm the one who pushed for us to paint the outside, and it looks soooo much better. This past Sunday I got bored, so when I found some extra white paint I repainted the bathroom. Then Monday I picked out colors for the rest of the house. Haha. Maybe I'm getting carried away.. but I get bored easily. And I also know me and Dave'll be stuck there for quite some time, so I wanna make the best of it. Well today I was all excited cuz it's Wednesday... which means I get to pretend to shop in The Guide & The Express (I know, pathetic. But I have nothing to do at work!!!). Well I think I found some new furniture for our living room. We've been looking for a new couch ever since we got this really uncomfortable one a couple months ago. We're going tonight to look at a blue/beige sectional that includes an corner table, end table, loveseat section, full sleeper sofa section, and storage ottoman for $250. It would fit perfectly in the corner infront of our bar, and would give us enough seating for when we have parties. AND it already matches the colors we have! I'm excited. But that doesn't take much...

Aight... already ran outta stuff. Later
