Uhh... hi. ::blushes::

So, I do in fact still live. May be hard to believe I know, but unfortunately the vacant nature shall resume for a bit longer still while my first year of college finishes up. Yes, that's right. I'm not on summer break. ::pouts::

Recent happenings summed up as quickly as possible because I'm tired:

I'm still working on finding a good swf to avi converter (that's free mind you) in which case I'll be able to show off a few of my recent animations

My children's book illustrator freelance work is continuing strong. In the near future when the job is complete, rest assured I'll provide the information needed to find the book.<-- because there's nothing like publicity, even in the small sense. Yay!

I may be even further in on my tentative plans to transfer to NCSU for Illustration come graduation from my current college. Wish me luck in whatever happens. ::giggles at the thought::

My previous job at the college backfired a few months back due to "money cut backs" as they may call it. ::glare:: i forget who I've told, but I'm not still bitter. Of course not. <-- not fooling anyone.

I'm officially despising logo-making, as well as letterhead, envelope and the related identity package design work that goes hand in hand. The sad thing is, I'm apparently quite good at it due to several of my professors coming to me with more freelance work. Aughh! Honestly, I love my field, but there's only so many logos I can take in one concentrated time frame.

Been working on another freelance project (this one not "contracting") for an upcoming company. I hope to hear back from them very soon for a final decision on the design and whether I get paid of not.

I wish I had a pet. :(

Irony springs from our assignment of a personal identity pack for ourselves (letterhead, logo, business card, the works) when in deciding on a logo I went the mouse route. (A shocker, I know! ::sarcasm::) The irony comes how my class disagreed on the choice, telling me instead I should choose an animal I associate myself with. ::blanks stare:: I.. did... Anyways, they got over it and I love my logo. I feel it truly fits me.

I'm counting down the days until I go see Phantom. Teehee.

I went to NYC recently for those that weren't aware. (for BDA) It's a graphic design conference, though I'm highly considering going to Siggraph next year instead.

To make it actually seem like I can actually post artwork here (because I'm awfully "motherly" over my recent work for copyright reasons I'm considering stating up a Tegaki. I'll let everyone know when I have the chance.

For those I usually talk to online. I apologize for the absence, especially the recent one. This past week I had a very close family member pass away and the before and after had, understandably, taken up my time.

On a brighter note (I'll name a few, though there are several)
my friend from back home is moving up to college near here so hurray for more friends.
I've already begun on my cosplay for next year's Animazement. Kou Shuurei. XD
My roommates/college buds are awesome. I can't imagine it without them!! ::swells with joy::

And thus ends the so-long-overdue-update-that-it's-not-even-funny update until I remember something else... which I indefinitely will.
