Blooood.
I donated blood today! And I am officially one of the very first 16 years olds to donate. If it goes over well, it will probably spread to other places. I almost passed out.. Everything grew darker, my vision narrowed, and everything around me sounded the way it does when you're under water. And then I broke out into a cold sweat. But after 20 minutes and Powerade I was fine. Yay!
It's funny because before you can give blood, you have to answer all kinds of questions, and I kept laughing at the ones that were like "Have you ever had sex with a prostitute?" And half the diseases that they ask if you have, I had never heard of. The only thing they had to write down was that I've been out of the country within the past 3 years. But all in all it was quite a pleasant experience. The big, loud, black lady taking my blood kept fighting with one of the other guys that worked with her. It was extremely entertaining. I think my favorite part was that my friend Jon (who was supposed to give quarts of blood, and have it replaces with plasma) didn't pass the question test. He was like "I don't wanna talk about it," and he started pouting. Twas great. Plus, free food and drinks.
