Best. Foodgasm. Ever.

I claim to be raw, but things like hot tea and dashi are the bane of this untruth.  However, I think I found a new staple.  Sprouted lentils sprinkled with wakame and topped with crushed red pepper flakes and a freshly ground peppercorn mix.

Oh.  My.  God.

It just tickled my palette something awful.  Sprouted lentils are always good, but the delicate flavour simply pops with the salty, almost bitter crunch of the wakame.  By not soaking the wakame, there's a sense of texture and dimension that really does play off the red pepper flakes.  And while the red pepper is somewhat spicy, it's not overly so.  It adds just enough kick to bring out the subtleness of the peppercorn, without making it too overpowering.
