Update on 2011

So far so good. Here's how I'm doing:
  • I've seen the doctor twice. I have another appointment next week and I need to make an appointment with a urologist. That sounds like fun. But I am done with my HPV shots! Thank goodness.. those hurt BAAAD!
  • I've read five of the Oprah books so far. That's out of the 65 I haven't read yet. I'm in the middle of one at work as well. These are a little rough because I spent all of last year reading mostly fluff books, books with less substance than these ones, less serious books. Ones that I could listen to at work and miss minutes at a time and still know what's going on.
  • I'm starting to exercise and eat better tomorrow. I planned meals for the week, and I updated my account on SparkPeople. I need to incorporate more strength training this time around. At work, they are asking us to keep track of the miles we run/jog/walk/etc for a wellness thing. Also, it's to make it around the world in miles on a map or something as well.
  • I have not started on the stick-shift business. I think I might have to rent a car in order to learn. Is that an option? lol I'll have to look into it. JK is really excited because he thinks this will encourage me to get a motorcycle. Whatever, dude. Keep dreaming.
  • Stress-management.. I've been working on not stewing. This is something I can do at work because all I have is time to keep thinking about the stuff bugging me. I'm trying to let things roll off my shoulders, but constantly thinking about not thinking about stuff is counterproductive in a way. Either way.. I've read some stuff about what not to do so I can lower my stress level. I think it will work if I keep at it :o)
So that's that. Hopefully I can finish the ones I started and actually do the others. Yay for a new year!!
