Yeah I'm good, considering I just babysat for six hours. Last night it was too hot upstairs, so I slept in the living room with the air conditioner. Right before I woke up I thought I heard "are you cold," because my foot was hanging out of the sheets and I figured my dad was going to cover it up, but really it was Colleen saying "Michael," and as I opened my eyes a little I saw Colleen and Brendan and Murphy standing next to me. Then I remembered we were going for a run. So I got up at whatever ungodly hour it was (I was already in my running attire), we ran a couple miles, stopped at Murphy and Brendan's, then came back and ate breakfast at my house. At 8:15 I had to babysit, which I did until after 2:00. Here are some "highlights" (you wonder why it was so exciting):
First we were jumping on their trampoline, which is in a big hole so it's at ground level.
Me: I keep hitting something when I come down.
Zach: Oh those are the rocks underneath.
Me: Hmm.. I see. What's that smell?
Zach: Oh yeah, my mom also puts the dog poop under there.
On the way back from West Sylvan, Zoe (7) and her friend got in a fight over who had to wear the roller blades and who got to ride the bike. Her friend was pretty upset.
Zoe: Um, Michael?
Me: Yeah Zoe?
Zoe: I didn't want to tell you but... I think Elena peed her pants.
Me: How can you tell?
Zoe: There's a huge wet spot.
Me: Uh oh.
Zoe: And they're my pants, too!
Finally I took the three of them down to the neighbor's pool, so I didn't have to think of stuff to do and they could pee all they wanted. I didn't feel like getting in so I just shot hoops from the outside.
Neighbor (she's like 80 or something): Do you play basketball for Lincoln?
Me: No, I don't.
Neighbor: Why not?
As she was talking, I took another shot, and hit the front of the rim so that it broke off and the whole thing shattered and splintered into the pool. I felt really bad, because her husband had made the hoop a long time ago, but then she just started laughing. We did have to pick all the pieces out of the pool though.
Well anyway I think Brendan and Murphy and Colleen are bored and they're coming back over, so I'd better go.
