awesomest time
Ok so I know skipping school to go to a concert is a terrible thing to do but I must say with all honesty
IT WAS FUCKING WORTH IT!
so we finally get to the knitting factory at around 5 because crystal is always late. We had to go pick her up from katie and price's old house. but when we got there luckily we were the only people there!
so we were first in line ^___^. before I go on with the story I tell you the members names to limit confusion:Drummer/guitar on some songs-Derek
Bass-Chris
Trombone-Dallas&Brian robertson
Trumpet-Aaron
Vocals-Tim
Guitar- Brian klem
and my long departed Vince walker on trumpet but he left the band P_______P
but ok on with the story
so we were the only people in line and after a while probably around 6 or 6 45 people started coming. then out of nowhere we see Brian klem come out. We kept our cool but once he left we were freaking out then, with our hearts still racing from seeing klem,Tim walks out. We again tried not to stare and once he left price collapsed. She was joking but her point was made it was too much for us to handle.
ok SO they finally let us in to the club around 8 oclock and when we walk in we see the band just hanging out and sitting on the couches. We were so confused "should we go over there of just take our place in the front?"
well we just got in front because people were coming in.
There were 3 bands playing with suburban legends
skashank redemption,Billion earnies,and Third party
skashank redemption was pretty good but by the time they got to third party people were sick of waiting and wanted SL to come on,I think someone actually booed third party it was sad they weren't that bad.
but when they ended some of the guys from SL came on stage to set up their equipment and when they did everyone was clapping and cheering for them.
at first it was just brian r and arron then derek and mike came on. SL finally started the show! I was so happy we were so fucking close. THe only way I can describe to you how close we were is this.
Arron got sweat on me-gross I know
Tim accidentally slapped price while doing a high five during the song "High fives"
Tim also spit water on us because it was really hot in there.
Arron gave me high fives
and lastly Tims crotch kept getting in the way when I was trying to look at derek-ewwwwww
but yeah they were quite literally right in our faces
So the concert kicked ass and when it was time for their encore Tim says"Did I hear you guys say 1 more song? I'm sorry we just can't do that.We are gonna do 2 more songs!"
it was great they did this new song and they did a super ska version of "under the sea" yes from the little mermaid, which raised the question: is sebastion a lobster of a crab?
But anyway after the show all these people leave some stay to say hi to the band so Of course we stayed! I gave derek a jar of nutella got a hug and took a picture then I told him "whats better than one jar of nutella?, 2 jars of nutella!" yeah he took them and said I was sweet and then I got more really sweaty hugs ^________^
then we started talking to dallas and he is really sweet. he was just making conversation and stuff + he gives the best hugs he like squeezes. so I asked him if we can get pictures with him and Arron,immediately he pulls Arron from the girls he was talking to to take pictures with us. then I started talking to Arron and I think I gave him about a billion hugs,he's the sweetest guy in the world,he said he liked my shirt *black led zeppelin t-shirt* then we started to talk about zeppelin and stuff. After that Brian klem came out and we took some pictures with him he's really cool he wan't us to go and take care of his cats while he's in the hospital to get his tonsils removed. after that we went to the merchandise table to go buy some stuff and Derek is there again! SO I started talking to him
"ya know I still haven't tryed Nutella"
"really you should try it,you want me to go get it so you can have some
"can you?"
"yeah sure I'll be right back"
so he went and we bought some cd's and stuff and mike came up and started talking to us.
so after he left I went to derek and asked if I could try the nutella and we went up on the stage and started talking
"yeah I like to eat it with just a spoon, do you have a spoon?"
"no I'm sorry I was gonna bring bread and stuff but it would have gotten stomped on"
"yeah it's cool just dunk your finger in there then "
*dunks finger and tryes the nutella*
"isn't that stuff good?"
"O my god it is"
"whats your name?"
"michelle" *goes to shake his hand but still has nutella on it so we shake with our left hands*
"where are you from"
"Venice"
"oh really one of my students lives in culver city"
"O really thats where I live on centinella and culver"
" O awesome"
"yeah my guitar teacher left me though "
"O really well I could teach you"
"really what do you charge"
"well what did your old guy charge"
"it was $25 for half an hour"
"I charge my kid over in culver city 50 for and hour and a half but thats because ya know it's a drive for me but since you had a better deal before I can give you a deal for $30"
"oh awesome"
Ok ok I am trying to remember the whole conversation but I'm too lazy this is a long fucking entry so I'll just say that after the conversation
I am going to get taught guitar/song writing from derek I just have to drop him a line on myspace and we gave tim Cookies and took pictures with him.
and all in all it was a great fucking night
and Honestly all of the guys from SL are the nicest guys I have ever met I really can't stress that enough they are the best and so sweet. ^_______^
