I guess it could be assumed, as I've been single for a while now, with a few fail-date stories under my belt after last year, that I'm unlucky in love.

It's like they say. "every relationship you have will fail until one doesn't" but that doesn't mean some of those failed relationships can't be good relationships. I'm glad you've been lucky enough to have a fe good ones and that your bad ones have ended quickly.
