My view of all things medicinal is: Only if entirely necessary. I am not a fan of pills or shots.
In the military, I feel that a lot of things aren't well thought out. Last time around, we were given anti-malaria pills to take. I took one, it made me highly agitated and paranoid, so I flushed them. When we came back to the States, the doctor conducting my health evaluation asked if I had taken the pills. He was relieved that I hadn't. Apparently, they had severe side effects for a lot of people. See? Good call.
Now, the mandatory
needle shots are back and I'm going to avoid it like the plague. I got an email telling me to show up tomorrow for mine. I'm complaining that it's during my off-time. Secretly, I hope to avoid it until we leave here.
