I would like to write about how we opened a new star or at least a supermarket, bought a growing business, made a world round trip in 80 days, got married with the father of my wonderful kids, or gave my parents a castle and stalls as a present for the 1st of september. But I have another experience, so I will write about a hospital, state austrian hospital where I had an operation. The OP was a small thing, without installation of any artificial parts. The stay was rather different from what I experienced in Russia long time ago.
The flexible needle was installed in my vein by the arrival at the hospital and removed before my leave.
Anaesthesia was given locally.
Me: - Herr Dr. Schneider, are you sure that it's already the right moment to take a knife?
Arzt: - Why not?
Me: - I can feel everything, hot, cold, and the number of fingers you are holding me with.
Arzt: - You will feel everything except pain.
Schwester: - Are you fine? Want to listen to music?
Me: - I don't know the german word for that. I would fall down, if I was not already in the horizontal position.
Arzt: - Infusion.
That what they need the flexible needle for.
And I flew up high enough to say "And now let's run away to Sharm el Sheikh. Just you and me" to a guy from Alexandria (Egypt) who was driving me from OP to the room, when everything was over.
Everything was fast. I took a book and a vocabulary expecting some waiting time before OP, but I hardly managed to open it. They monitor the location of the patient, and proceed with deliveries to different kinds of treatment with good timing with only small pauses in between.
I had some problems with getting ice-bundage during the day, but they changed it regularly during the night. I was an exception - too young, too russian.
- All Russians are in the private clinics.
- I assume, they just do not know about the level of state clinics.
- We understand that these are the same people, who ovecrowd Louis Vuitton shop. And that they comprise just a small percentage.
I was the only non-austrian among patients. More precisely I was the only non-viennese.
When I was about to leave (which was 2 nights after the OP) my 2 neighbours found out that I am not that concerned about public transport (Ambulance has to be paid privately in my case). So they made some assumptions, but as soon as my Bezirk was an unknown land we finished with some expectations. Some time later I heard one lady talking over the phone, asking her ...someone... about my case. Afterwards the 2nd got a call and also asked to find out how should I get to my place from there.

They are chatting over the phone pretty much 6 calls a day and a visit. Each. I sould confess that I do not understand what about do they talk. Sometimes I even loose the general topic of their conversation. They never correct mistakes in the speech, however they mentioned that foreigners even after a long time in Austria are well-recognised by the pronounciation.
- You may be do not hear. But we certainly do.
One day of stay costs 709 for those who lives in Vienna, 849 EUR for those who don't. My OP itself was around 2000 EUR, I did not see the bill yet. I lost the purse with everything inside before the OP. Therefore I arrived without any documents and money at all. I guess guys are still doubt if they get paid for thier services, and if I show up for redressing. According to the plan I had to leave next day after OP, but I claimed that I couldn't and need one more night. They gave me two additional nights. It was 3 nights in total, which was long, as people who got completely new parts of body leave in a week. During this time they recieve active treatment, and daily doctor visits even during the weekends.
Today I've got medicines. When I saw the note Spritzampullen I expected something like that

Actually it was a prepared injection in a syringe. House doctor smiled, when I siad that I definitely need a nurse. And showed me how to do it myself.

- Why don't you want to return to Russia?
Me: - Because of political trend and business practices.
- We also have corruption.
Me: - But you have autobans. Ours are ones of the most expensive in the world. But we actually don't have them.
- I was living all my life in Austria. We have everything except things we don't need. It's a wonderful country.
- Putin is the most powerful man of the world. No one else can use the whole country on his own.
