man i wish we had festivals over here. that would have been fun. school was just kind of boring.

you don't have festivals?
well, in our school we celebrate every month...
but the most awaited celebration in our school is the english festival, the one that's happening right now and, the foundation week.

any type of festival over here deals with local city stuff. like in the area i live we have the rhythm and roots festival and the highlands festival. one is during the summer the other is happening now. the rhythm and roots festival deals with country music and the highlands festival deals with the some of the ancestry of the area, which is scottish and we have our own version of the scottish highland games. that's about it nothing that the schools get involved with or anything.

i see, we also have festivals like that.
esp. when celebrating a particular patron's fiest.
one of the very famous festival here in my hometown is the
"sinulog" it's a street dance wherein people from other places come to join...it's a fiest for our patron saint..
