So today is one of the most amazing days I've ever had in my entire life.
I try not to post too much about my pregnancy because when I was wanting to be pregnant so bad I had a lot of friends posting every five seconds about theirs and it made me angry. I'm just trying to be considerate. But, here comes some pregnancy stuff I just have to share.
Today was my first doctor's appointment. Everything went like a regular doctor's appointment then they told me I was going to get to have an ultrasound. Mitch was able to leave work early so he was there with me, looking awesome in his blues. It was funny to see my insides on the screen but it only took a half a minute for her to find the baby.
I found out that I am 9 weeks and 2 days a long. The baby is the perfect size, just a few inches. You could see the outline of the head, it's two hands all balled up into a fist and it's rear. It was simply amazing. The little heart was fluttering on the screen so I cried a little. It was SO HARD not to laugh. Laughing messes up the picture. It was great to see Mitch's face. It's like this made it real for him. There is a little baby in there, not just a Jellybean. (We call the baby a Jellybean 'cause it's so small. lol)
The most amazing part of all was watching the baby move. It's like it knew we were watching it because it moved to look right at us then started waving it's little fist. Now I know it probably had no clue... but still. It was awesome.
I also know right where the baby is sitting now and every once in awhile when I feel a little tickle inside in that spot it's not just my stomach digesting or something. It's my baby.
The doctor also said it's a very good sign I've been as sick as I have. It means the baby is healthy. She also gave me some anti-nausea meds so I don't keep throwing up every five seconds.
After the doctor I went to fill the prescription. As I was waiting, "Welcome to Pooh Corner" By Kenny Loggins came on the radio at Walgreens. I cried. That song is the reason we're doing the nursery in Winnie the Pooh theme. It's going to be my baby's lullaby. I haven't heard it on the radio in years so it was really interesting it should come on right then.
Today was amazing. I can't wait to meet my baby. My due date is September 29th. Like me the baby will be a Libra. Like Mitch the baby will be Year of the Rabbit. I thought that was funny. :) What's odd is my step-sister is due the exact same day.
