Yuuhi's retirement is overshadowing some very happy news.
Otoha Minori is Lizzie Bennet!
AND she's featured on the Tenshi no Hashigo poster!
Great news for Minori, treated as special the last couple years with named roles in everything she doesn't lead. Especially since musumeyaku non-tops aren't often on posters. :(
...unless they're going places. :D
This is also good news because Minori is not a baby. She's being treated as Mihoko and Asuka and Tonami were, allowed to mature into stardom and given a variety of roles to stretch herself in. Others have pointed out that musumeyaku tops cycle; babies with little training/exposure top for awhile, then the pendulum swings back to experienced, star-treated musumeyaku.
To be clear: this is not to say Sumika and Ran-chan and Mimi aren't wonderful. But when people talk about how they're "getting better with each play," it's hard to deny how cool they could be if they'd had another year or two, another part or two, another few voice lessons, before having to carry whole plays, that's all.
