There's a mouse in the house (let me sleep!)

Who remembers their Garfield cartoons? Who saw every episode?

Yup.

And indeed, there is a mouse in the house. One skinny little field mouse that must have wandered in from the soybeans.

Okay, so it's not a field mouse, it's decidely a house mouse, but otherwise I have no explanation for its origins other than the archaic idea of spontaneous creation. Certainly, I believe that God created all the animals spontaneously, but I don't think He's doing it anymore, especially creating mice in our house.

Anyway, the mouse is scampering across our living room and kitchen, scaring me out of my wits because when I'm not wearing my contacts, it looks like a big furry spider.

I wish my dad wasn't obsessed with killing it, but there's no swaying some people when it comes to vermin.

I have now spent eight hours talking to my best friend's younger brother online. I don't think I've spent FOUR hours talking to my best friend online, though I guess I have in person, since our sleepovers tend to consist more of lying in bed talking all night as compared to, say, sleeping. At all.

Sigh. I have a lot of homework to do tonight. Joy.
