I was sorta smiling, can you tell?

Everything went better than imagined. They did a good job of talking to me about other things before the drugs kicked in - I remember saying "I'm a lightweight" when the doctor mentioned margaritas, and thinking "I guess I trust these people" as they strapped down my legs. (!)
Then, no further memory exists.
The only silly thing I said under sedation (that they would tell me, anyway) was that I asked for coffee. I musta been sleepy!

I had a brilliant stroke when we got home and requested Wallace & Grommit - "Curse of the Were-Rabbit." It was a whole new experience on drugs! I kept noticing things I'd never seen before. That took the mind off bloodclots for a while. "Over the Hedge" was next, but not quite as funny. Perhaps the iv was wearing off by then.

I was well provisioned with Propel, yogurt, hummus, ice cream, and perhaps today I'll even try the corn pudding. If I can get my mouth open.

After dark, Todd finally checked the mail and there was a care package in it - from my bodacious cousin Anna! Inside, I found this lovely hat (which matches my eyeglasses and has hand-sewn decorations on one side) and a whole canister of green tea! I felt loved, and told (texted) her so. She was apologizing for the lateness of her Christmas present but was happy to hear the timing worked out for me anyway.

The animals and Todd have been lovely, as I knew they would be. He's back at work today, with my car, so I think I'm a just gonna sit here and try not to swell. More.
