conversations = funny or sad? Sad funny?

1, with Gypsy Geoff  - last week (while planning the Steampunk Ball!)

me - "I used to watch 'Saved by the Bell' to learn how to be normal."
he - "That's pretty sad."... "Dustin Diamond is the worst comedian I've ever seen."
me - "I identified with Screetch.  Will Smith was my savior, though, in ''Fresh Prince of Bel Air.'"
he - "Ok, I can see the resemblance there."

me - laughing.  yeah, I resemble Will Smith.  In his taste in women, maybe!

PS: the worst comedian I have ever seen is Demitri Martin. His best joke was about rock-paper-scissors.
PPS: Don't ever let Netflix recommend DVD's. That was the second worst failure they've ever sent me.  You don't even want to know about the first!

2, with Jon, on the way home from band practice -

me - "I watched a bit of Pink's circus show on TV last week."
he - "oh yeah?"
me - "Yeah. The visuals were great, but after two minutes, I made Todd turn the sound off."
he - laughing
me - "I mean, what's so impressive about her singing while she's lowered down on a wire - when you know it's not live?"
he - "You mean, like Devo at SummerFest, Sunday?"
me - laughing.
he- "I went to see Pinkllive once, and the whole entire thing was auto-tuned.  I couldn't believe it.  It could have been me on that mic."

(ok, I may have rearranged some bits. But it all happened. My blog, my faulty memory.)
