Hello internet surfers.
Things here have been good...and cold. I hate how my hands get cold when I'm typing.
My parents called from NY to tell me they had a record snowfall of 26? inches [plus to brag about a Billy Joel concert], and the storm is now here in Boston... So I proceeded to sleep through a lot of it - 'til 4pm baby! - and get a "snowcheck" for my dinner date with Andrew. To my credit, I was up til 5am after a night out. Last night was fun and different, and I especially enjoyed getting as punk as I could for a crafts house party for Punks and Monks. This involved borrowing Lora's studded belt and putting on black eyeliner. We stayed for dancing and hard cider (reminded me of Dublin) before going to another house party and then to Stratton to hang out with the theater clan. Those sophomores are so much We watched Ali G, scarfed down pizza at like 3am and by the time me and Rina trekked home there was an inch of white fluff on the ground.
What else what else. After waking at 5am on Friday, I flew to DC for 5 job interviews for a big consortium. I was surprised to see how many Tufts kids were invited. Some of my interviews went better than others but I survived. Afterwards, I changed from my high heels to sneakers, wandered to Union Station and then navigated the metro to the airport. I even got on a flight back to Boston an hour earlier than expected. I have lots more work in the job hunt department, because a lot of the firms want us to fill out applications now that they know we are all alive and competent. This process is so damn long! More on it later.
I am also now a proud member of the pit for Tufts' production of Hair. But we're calling ourselves the Hair Band and not the Hair Pit because, well, I guess Hairpit sounds gross like armpit or something? Not sure. But I'm excited because a lot of friends are in it with me.
Stay warm!
