I still find it amusing that I use a dialect unrelated to my geographic location… though… it seems that the Dixie is sneaking in.
Anyhow, it’s strange out here; most of the people that I meet in Oklahoma speak in a “generic” American dialect (except that they are all “fixing” to do something).
However, whenever locals are interviewed on the news, they always ALWAYS speak like the Beverly Hillbillies.
It boggles my mind and leaves me wondering where they find these people.
