Well, I have decided to do some modifications to my Edward costume!
I would like to try my hand at this costume of mad props. Before I get started though, I'd like to get some advice. Anyone have some thoughts as to what the various objects hanging around his belt are? Also, how I can go about starting to make them, or if there are places where I can but things of similar/same appearance?
UPDATE: I have the military green canteen, so that's good to go there.
I also have tons of tan deer hide lying around, which I may be able to meticulously fabric-glue to skinny belts’n’stuff. Though, I’d like to see if there is a place where I can buy the ‘item holders.’ Hunting store, perhaps?
That knife of his is going to be a real bugger, though. I’ll have to see if I can find a wooden horse figuring to decapitate and hot-glue to a knife-shaped thing.
Or, I can take the easy way out and use that other knife design. Though, the horse would be cooler.
Also, where might I look for the jewel-shaped things? Do they exist in a form where I can glue them to a sheathe of sorts? I wonder if Hobby Lobby would have stuff.
I’ll have to get cracking on this now! As that I want to make the props look as real as possible.
At any rate, I am SO going to do an Indiana Jones parody with this cosplay. That means locating a nifty hat and whip. Though, I will have to keep an eye out for rabbid-yaoi-fan-girls. Having a whip might be taken wrong, but at least I'll have the means to beat them away.
UPDATE 2: How does this look for the coat fabric? I will see if I can find it locally, but I'm thinking of going with duck cotton again.
