Feb 28, 2020 21:33

Cute Inocchi bc he's a sweetheart :)

Domo minna!

I recently was browsing AsianWiki and decided to check out all of my men in V6 to see what drama I should watch next, and realized that half the group legit has projects this year!!

I'm so excited, so let's just get into the dramas/movies and descriptions of them :)

1. Nagano Hiroshi - Things You Can Know By Looking At Them (彼らを見ればわかること)

Nagano is looking so daaaaaamn good (top left corner if you didn't already know)

OH MY GOSHHHH!!!! DO YOU SEE WHAT NAGANO LOOKS LIKE IN HERE?? JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL AND BLESS MY SOUL WITH HOLY WATER.

*takes a deep breath*

Anyway. This ones a drama.

It began airing on January 11, 2020. It airs on Saturdays at 10:00 PM, and it set to have 8 episodes. It will run until February 29, 2020.

This drama basically takes place in a world surrounding three women, who are the main protagonists of the story. It's basically a mess of relationships (aka the best kind of J-dramas to watch if you really want the drama side of it all lol) And our man Nagano over here, plays the character Yosuke Kamoi who's a newlywed to Rumi Kamoi (the women he's standing in back of), but it's messy af because all of these characters live in the same apartment, and Nagano's character used to be married to our girl Momoko Uchida (in the middle).

I haven't watched this yet, but I definitely will soon, legit just to hear Nagano speak, but whatever. What's new, right?

2. Okada Junichi - Moeyo Ken (燃えよ剣)

This is another historical/period Movie from our Academy Award Winning boy, Okada!

He's been into period pieces in the past few years, so I'm not particularly surprised, but I'm definitely excited :)

It's set to come out May 22, 2020 in Japan, but who knows how long it'll be before you can view (*cough* pirate *cough*) it internationally.

The movie takes place in the 19th century, and follows the life of Toshizo Hijikata (aka our dopey youngest, Okada-kun!). Who was the vice-commander of the Shinsengumi and fought against the Meiji Restoration.

So obviously it's very historical, and if you're not really into that type of stuff (like me), then don't feel bad for giving it a pass.

However, I will definitely still be watching it, just to see Okada-san in 'Academy Award Winner Acting Mode' (thanks to Inocchi, I'll never stop referencing that lol)

3.  Inohara Yoshihiko (Inocchi) - 461 Lunch Boxes (461個のおべんとう)

So this movie is probably one of the most anticipated of the year, for me personally.

Set to come out in the Fall of 2020, it stars our sunshine boy Inocchi, and Michieda Shunsuke, as father and son (*cries in fangirl* that's soooooo cute!!!!!)

Kazuki Suzumoto (Inocchi's character), is a divorced father who lives with his 15 year old son, Kouki (Michieda). Inocchi basically feels guilty that his son only has him to take care of him, and after Kouki fails his high school entrance exam, only to barely pass it the next year, Kouki tells his father that he enjoys his bentos (lunch boxes). So Inocchi makes a promise to his son, that he will make him a bento every single day, as long as Kouki promises to never skip school.

I'm sure this ones gonna be one of those heartfelt, family stories about how both father and son grow closer to one another, and I literally can't wait.

It definitely seems more like a slice-of-life genre, so for anyone who isn't into the more slow-paced movies, I think you may want to be wary about this one.

So that's all I know for now, but if I get any more information (or if Go decides to do an acting project this year bc that's kind of all I want, but he is doing that stageplay "FORTUNE" thing, so I wouldn't get my hopes up) I'll be sure to let you guys know!

Also, if/when I watch these, I'll try to post a review if I can :)

Psycho Okada bc I still haven't watched his movie 'The Fable' yet and I feel SUPER guilty...

Bai! Bai!☺
