The pre-festivities:
I got together with a few friends to celebrate SinterKlaas, which is story of the Spanish Bishop, patron saint of children and the source of all the Santa Claus stuff.
Marie shared her Dutch Chrismas traditions (which were all very tasty), and the potluck foods were lip-smacking delicious.
Just what I needed to get out of my funk! FUNK!
Now I am looking forward to yet another fun weekend, this time the LAN party at Kat and Kurts! YAY, gaming!
(I wonder if I should bring Talisman - it's like a fun mini D&D session, but a boardgame).

Baby on Board
So, my local bus was packed as usual, but just as I got on a seat opened up (lucky!), in front of a baby. Beautiful girl, with an old navy pink snowsuit, blanket, etc. Near the last 1/2 of the ride she started to get fiesty. So, while I am still meditating at this point, I imagine this nice blanket of safety over her, calming, protecting, etc. Next thing I know... silence. 2 mins later I peek an eye open to see she is fast asleep. *heh heh heh* That was fast!
