I... I just got my tickets to D'espairsRay's show in Chicago. I can't... I can't even speak.
Apparently they've been here for daaaays. I've been telling mom and Melody to keep an eye out for them in the mail all week, but each time I told them, they either weren't listening or didn't hear. So finally today, on the way to the bike trail, I was telling mom to KEEP ON THE LOOKOUT, and she said, "The tickets? They're already here." And I was like, "WHAT?" She said, "Yeah. They've been here for days. They're already opened so I thought you saw them already." Me: "WHAT." She said, "Yeah. They're opened. I thought you opened them." And I was like, "MOM, if I had opened them, I'd have screamed the roof off the house."
SO BASICALLY my sister opened them (she's infamous for taking other people's mail without their permission and reading it, thus her nickname 'Mailody') and they've been sitting around the house for days without my knowledge. I've been here, like, worrying that they'd been lost or something.
Anyway, so my mom and I walked on the bike trail, and I was listening to D'espairsRay, dancing like a fool (it was already dusk, so I didn't expect anyone to be out on the trail, and right when I started to Rip it up Break it down Dance! a couple of biker's came up behind me and scared the living scheiße out of me,) so by the time I got home, I had already forgotten that they were here. And then, like... after being home for a couple hours, watching both Liquidize and Spiral Staircase, I was putting in Closer to ideal -Brand new scene- and suddenly remembered. I flew outside to where my sister was, said, "You BITCH," ran back inside and found the tickets.
And I like, just stood there gawking at them for, like, ten minutes (couldn't scream, because I was both too awe-struck and my sister's penpal from Finland is sleeping in the other room). This is going to sound ridiculous, but they're beautiful. Yeah, yeah. I know; I'm weird, but... I dunno. They're just so much prettier than the Taste of Chaos tickets, and, well, this is my first D'espairsRay one-man. So, yeah, the tickets basically look like tickets to Heaven right now. And I'm so excited I think I might... go to sleep now because it's killing me.
Tomorrow I'm buying the tickets for Toronto.
There's one last thing I want to say, though:
Congratulations!
Congratulations, D'espairsRay, on finishing the album! I'm very proud of you boys (as I've already let Karyu know on the FC.) I love you all very much and GET SOME SLEEP.
Thank you and have a good night. :D
