Capisce?

Mary Worth is not interested! I have no reason to ever use this userpic, but I just had to make it. If you're not reading Mary Worth, you're missing out.

So, who was it who wrote about the restorative power of housework? Probably nobody, because that sounds like pretentious crap, but anyway this weekend turned out much better after I started cleaning. After a week of general slumpishness (which I associate with spending too much time sitting in front of a computer screen, although I haven't worked out cause and effect), yesterday was the worst. I did manage to go out and buy cleaning supplies, and get food from the fake Mexican place, but then I sat around all day until it was night and I had nothing to do. And then I went to bed alone, which, really, might be what this all comes down to (although, again, I haven't worked out cause and effect).

But today was better. This morning I emptied everything out of the bathroom that wasn't screwed to the walls, and a couple of things that were. That pretty much forced me to clean. And I just now finished. Maybe it wouldn't take me all day to clean the bathroom if I would take fifteen minutes to clean it every once in a while. But, see, I realized today that I can't just clean the bathroom, I need to develop a bathroom cleaning method, which isn't right.

I'm feeling much better now. Plus I'm eating cheesy bread straight from the oven, so life is pretty good.
