residency
hi, I'm a new member attending U of M this fall I and have some questions about residency. my boyfriend lived in wisconsin until our sophomore year, but he's followed all of the suggestions to get residency, severing ties with wisconsin, etc. however the residency office is still denying him in-state residency. we've talked to a residency officer, but all she had to offer was some very circular reasoning, with no real reason they had decided to consider him out of state other than, "well it's really a bunch of little things". SO has anyone had any experience with this, or no anyone who had problems getting residency? I know michigan is very anal about this so I'm hoping for some tips, or information, or anyone who has had trouble with this. I'd really appreciate any feedback :)
